Kirtrina M. Baxter, Black Dirt Farm Collective
Kirtrina M. Baxter, M.A. is a dedicated mother, spiritual drummer, returning-generation farmer, food & land justice organizer, and community strategist. Kirtrina has spent over two decades facilitating growth and development of diverse individuals, groups, and organizations. As a systems thinker, her current work largely focuses on supporting organizational development of Black and Brown collectives and farmers to nurture the sustainable ecosystems that organically grows out of agrarian communities. Kirtrina has co-founded multiple land-based projects including Ithaca Youth Farm Project, Black Dirt Farm Collective, Soil Generation, and 4DaSoil. She brings her belief that everyone is worthy of respect to everything she does and practices affirming human dignity in all of her work. In 2008, she received her M.A. in Cultural Studies.
